Negativity

What is negativity? It is an energy that pulls productivity, drains effectiveness and causes apathy. Negativity does not produce power it only creates weakness. It is a concept that is built on doubt and fatalism. Negativity produces opposition, conflict and division. There is nothing worthwhile that results from it. It does not motivate, inspire or in courage. It can be used as reinforcement but only produces a ritualistic, habitual and robotic reaction that lacks faith and passion. No matter how it is packaged it is destructive. It affects thoughts, actions, attitude and behavior of the individual who engages in it.

Negativity is a point of view that validates contradiction regardless of facts or truth. It only embraces or accepts that which is the worst possible outcome.  This system of thinking is built upon a philosophy of skepticism and a disagreeable tendency to oppose and resist reasonable advice, suggestions or orders from peers or those in authority. A negative influenced mindset accepts evil over good. Negativity naturally opposes and rejects that which is favorable.
Negativity welcomes mediocrity and ordinary outlook on life achievement and accomplishment. Doing enough to get by is the norm and making excuses is a main component of coping with challenges and difficulty.

Negativity is an unfruitful way of thinking that imagines a thought; image or an opinion or belief perception that is shrouded in counterproductive meaning or significance in most situations. It is a general idea derived from ignorance, emotion and just plain stupidity that is usually influenced by isolated instances or occurrences formed in the mind. Negativity is really based upon fear of change those who live their lives this way do so because it is comfortable and predictable for them. It does not require them to change, take action or meet challenges. They assume and accept the worst case scenario therefore they can project blame on those who try.

Negativity is the resistance that pushes against the possibilities in life. It creates stress and strain on relationships because it communicates distrust and resentment to those who have ambition for something better and believe they can make a difference. Negativity is sees the bad in people, the job, the church, the government, marriage and the world in general. It accepts losing as an alternative and constant defeat is acceptable.

Negativity is a giving the squeaky wheel the oil mentality. It pushes away and repels the good and positive. It destroys happiness and hope because it creates an environment that does not facilitate support and growth. Negativity brings the worst out of people not the best. No one is energized to produce better results. In this atmosphere one does not thrive they just survive and exist. They adjust rather than transform which is unhealthy in terms of personal and spiritual development. Negativity is deadly because it dominates our ability to discern the opportunity to have positive experiences. This is a serious problem for those who want to maximize their life experience. Luckily it is a behavior that can be changed.
