How Negativity Affects those around you

Ever found yourself in a great mood, and you run into someone you know, and they start complaining about everything that is wrong in their life? Can you not feel the life draining right out of you in their presence? When you finally get away, you feel almost depressed? Negativity can can spread like wildfire in the vicinity of these people.

Get away from them quick if you want to remain in a good and descent mood. Negativity is suffocating in the fact that it can leave you feeling like your energy has been sucked right out of you.

Someone who is a habitual positive thinker might be able to survive the atmosphere, but it still could startle them that someone could look so down on life. Listening to a complainer all day long could lead to a very stressful day for you and anyone who is in listening range of them. 

Negative thinking has to be mentally exhausting for the person thinking that way, so you could only imagine how it would affect some unsuspecting person to encounter this kind of negativity.

Negativity affects can leave feelings of discouragement and hopelessness. We start our day out feeling really good and thinking positive thoughts, just to get through the day with less stress and a glimmer of optimism.

Negative thinkers can instantly pull the rug out from under our feet. Our optimistic mood will go right down the drain and we may even feel emotionally drained by the time we get away from these kind of people.

Sometimes when we walk away from someone like this, we can’t figure out why we feel so bad now. We may not even know it’s happening until it is too late to stop it.

The influence of negativity can lower your self-esteem, which in return, will reflect in your words and actions dealing with other people. They will see you as someone who throws off on everything, everyone, and even theirself, for that matter.

No one wants to interact with someone who doesn’t have one good thing to say or talk about. Negativity steals other peoples creative energy and positive insight. It may takes hours to recooperate from the misfortune of having to interact with a negative thinker.

If you find yourself in the vicinity of a negative person, put your invisible shield up for your own protection! Save what’s left of your great mood and and get away from this person quick. Hey! We have a right to be happy, even if they can’t find a reason to be.
