When you know that you have enough money to last you through the recession, you feel happy and enjoy peace of mind. When you know that you have enough money to send your kids to college, and give them a head start in their career, you feel happy and fulfilled.

You will feel insecure, and question the motive of your friends and relatives who flock to endear themselves to you. You have a deeper fear that this money will not last, since you know that most lottery winners become bankrupt within a few years. You fear for the safety of your dear ones. You fear, because you do not know what to do with the money, except to spend them all.

Money, by itself, does not bring unhappiness or happiness. However, the way you use money brings happiness or unhappiness to you.

In a company, two persons doing the same work, and getting the same salary, do not experience the same stage of happiness or unhappiness in life. If one person spends the money on drinking and gambling, the happiness is short, and elusive. He has more days of unhappiness than happiness. To him, money has stronger link to unhappiness.
