One hundred dollars is not going to significantly change the world, and it certainly doesn’t have the value it used to. No matter what you do with that bill, the odds are you won’t see much change in the order of things in this sometimes crazy world we live in. However, the small things in life do add up over time, and one hundred bucks can still do a lot of good. Some people might want to take that money and give it to charity, others might want to splurge on themselves. It’s purely an individual choice. But to make the world a better place might take a bit more thought. What would I do with that money?

I wouldn’t expect to see dramatic change, for one thing. I’d only get disappointed, and it might become a negative vibe in the long run. What would you expect? Why not think about how that money can improve your life? If everyone took that money, and did something positive within their own lives, the sum total could effect a dramatic change. Even though whatever that change is, and it could be slight, at least it adds up to a positive change. Again, if the act taken is positive.

Some positive changes that could be made on a personal basis, is finding out what it is exactly that you’ve been wanting to do. Is it losing weight? How about helping someone else? Perhaps you would like to act as a “big brother” to some kid that doesn’t have many options in that department. For instance, that one hundred dollar bill might just be the ticket to a fun and memorable day out with that deprived child that would love to have an older brother to share the day with. Even though there is no familial relationship, the friendship made just might change your life significantly, and also make a huge positive impact on a child’s life. It’s something to think about, if that is something that tickles your fancy, so to speak.

Another thing that could be done is to take that money and purchase a nice lunch for the people that volunteer at the local animal shelter. Most of the donations go to the animals, and that is a terrific way to make a nice change. But the people that work at those animal shelters have one of the toughest jobs on the planet! It’s not easy to be surrounded by unwanted animals day in and day out, and personally those people are living angels. It might be nice to reward their efforts by making their lives easier, if just for one day. A nice inexpensive lunch or dinner for the folks at the local animal shelter will go a long, long way in letting them know they are respected and appreciated for the fine work they do.

The above are just a few examples of what can be done with a one hundred dollar bill. Perhaps you can think of many, many more things to be done. Things that are positive in this sometimes all-too negative world we live in.
