Contributions to Personal Success

Our moral strength is the justifiable and legally acceptable inner power that we unleash in the face of tough situations or adverse conditions. The tough guy might not be wielding a gun or wielding a sword, but he is loaded with some form of well-guided and properly ordered decisions and tactics that would lead him out of the entrapment. The moral values and qualities instilled in us at the formative stages and developmental periods of our lives would gradually come to the fore as we grow and move on in life. However, they are largely embedded within the man until his time of crisis.

The strong-willed person would overlook the past and plan to launch back into prosperity. A soft-willed man would be nursing his wounds, and may never get out of it. People who suddenly came in to wealth would know how to manage it if they had always been frugal with little resources, otherwise a spendthrift would throw the money all around. It is always good to have a strong and positive moral strength.

According to an old adage, ‘he who has lost confidence has lost everything’. Our moral strength is our self-confidence. Our self-confidence depicts our self- image. Your success in life, in marriage, in business, in career, and in larger issues of life and living, depends to a very great deal upon your self- confidence, your self-image. The value you put on yourself is the price the market places on your net-worth. He never seem to get it right, he never happens to be able to plan well. Things always turn berserk when it gets to his turn. Why? It is just because the man never got an iota of self-acceptance. He never believes in himself. How could a man who does not believe in himself trust self? Impossible! To lack independent judgment is to become a perpetual dependent on other people. To depend on other people is an indication that the self is lost; the person has become an insignificant cipher.

He needs to come to terms with himself, accept himself as he is, trust the abilities that he has, whether big or little, believe he could do, and he would do great things with those abilities, then develop the habit of a winner. At this juncture, he had formed a new bearing; he has had a psychological transformation form thinking negative to being positive in thoughts and speech. His orientation has changed. His positive moral strength could now well up to face the issues and matters militating against his progress and growth. He has found the moral strength to confront the adversity that has befallen him, chart a new course, and launch himself into success.

Sometimes in life, the secret of success lies in failure. Solutions are always close to the problem, visible only to the brave and courageous. To be courageous is to be able to confront adversity or danger with doggedness and determination without looking back. Success is a matter for the brave and courageous. In essence, once a person has come to terms with the development of positive moral values, he would also come to terms with the development of self-confidence. Having self-confidence, he would be courageous enough to confront adversity or negative aspects in his life. Set on this path with dedication, the individual is not just about seeking success or the good life, but rather living a really fulfilling and truly meaningful life, which is success indeed.

The man who has moral values does not pursue negative attitudes as well as negative thoughts. As we derive joy in overcoming adversity, we desire, we equally have the intrinsic satisfaction within for using our moral values to develop moral strengths that brought success. Therefore, when we are confronted with adversity challenges, our person, and of course, our character is on the line. The moral strength to fight the challenge is all along derived from our character. For the lasting good life of success and happiness, we should raise the ante on good character, and honesty in dealing with people to get our rights and fair share.
