How Moral Strength Contributes to Personal Success
Moral strength is an indication of how well your moral beliefs are ingrained within your character. Your character is about who you are and identifies you as a unique individual unlike any other individual.
When a person has strong moral beliefs his persona is focused around all things that are right, and in any given situation will try to do, if at all possible that which is the right thing to do.
Therefore for personal success to happen one must have done always what was the right thing to do at the right time and in the right place. The right time and the right place may not have anything to do with moral strength, which will be the prime reason why those with great moral strength may not achieve goals they are looking to achieve even though they have the moral strength to achieve them.
The goal of achievement
Personal success means that one attains that which he wishes to attain. He reaches the goals that he has planned. He is able to fulfill all responsibilities in order to reach his goals. He accomplishes what he set out to accomplish and achieves what he set out to achieve.
Good choices
When people are coping with important life decisions they will need moral strength in order to make good choices. Good choices will bring success; and continued good choices will bring continued success.
Honesty
Honesty is a large component of moral strength. If one is honest in all his dealings with other people and doesn’t lie, cheat, or steal, he certainly will have a personal life that is successful.
And the only way to achieve real personal success is through integrity and honesty. You can’t cheat your way through school or life and expect to be successful. Somewhere down the road your greed and dishonesty will catch up with you. You may have made a lot of money by being dishonest but the one thing you won’t have is the knowledge that you have attained your wealth by doing what is right.
Knowledge of self
To be truly successful you must have the inner knowledge of your own being; and by being dishonest and doing all the wrong things to gain influence, power, and wealth, which are the important goals a dishonest person might look to attain, you will not have this inner knowledge. You will only have the knowledge that you are not a good person, that you have done a lot of bad things, and that you have gained prestige through cunning and deceit; and this is not personal success.
A truly successful person will approach all acts in a noble way. He is high-minded, thinking of the good he can do in the world. Even if that person is monetarily poor he will be successful in the knowledge of who he is. This is true personal success.
The person of moral strength is not only honest in all dealings but is also upright, decent, modest and pure. With all this going for him he certainly will attain personal success in everything he does. Moral strength is the backbone of his character and the backbone of his success.
Of course there are other factors contributing to the kind of personal success a person might want to achieve such as education and dedication to achieving a particular goal, but moral strength will dictate how well one achieves these goals in the end.
