Are drug dealers murderers

This is a subject that can easily go both ways depending on which perspective you look at this topic. It is a hard subject because if you bring marijuana into this mixture, the sellers were known as “drug dealers”. Now however it is very much legal and the sellers are no longer drug dealers so that brings up the issue before it was legal, were they killing people?

To be able to have this discussion more descriptively and with more detail, you would have to specify which drugs you are dealing with because there are some drugs that shouldn’t be in society. There has been no reported cases where marijuana has led to a fatal overdose. This will show people that a drug dealer isn’t a murderer which takes care of one of the many drugs. “Marijuana Smoking Doesn’t Kill” says WebMD.

It is true that some drugs should not be sold based on their dangerous and addictive potential. There are many factors that play into the drug game and overdoses and it is so very controversial it is all how people depict or describe the topic. These drug dealers don’t wake up one morning and think, ‘I am going to kill someone today with my drugs.’

Blame doesn’t just fall on the dealer; yes, they may provide the opportunity to use the drug but after that, it is up to the user, the user has a choice they can choose not to take it or they can take it. Remind you the dealer is no longer around telling him to take it or forcing them in any way, its their own free will. Saying drug dealers kill people is equivalent to saying guns kill people. Both the dealer and the gun give the user the opportunity to use it.

Though, some dealers will lace their product to make more money and cut it with even more dangerous substances than already used. Which as a result causes a higher potential to harm or even kill the user. It may not be the dealer’s intent to kill those people but they are still dead regardless.

On the other hand if the user gets a drug that’s pure and uses too much of it and has an accidental overdose, who is to blame. The dealer who sold him the right amount of the drug for the right amount of money. All that aside, the user goes to wherever he chooses to take this drug then ingests the wrong amount and dies. So, where was the dealer; still at his house watching T.V being unaware someone has just overdosed on his supply.

There’s no dispute that most dealers are all about their money and have no regard for others. Just as long as they make their money and come off with a profit not caring if the user is becoming more and more addicted. However drug dealers are no murderers because they do not intentionally kill people. Here is something to think about straight from dictionary.com; it is up to you to decide what you think.
