How to Live like a Millionaire while Waiting to become one
People, places, and things. With changes in these three areas, you can live like a millionaire while waiting to become one. If the people in your life, the places you go or interact in, and the things you surround yourself with have not seen your rise to financial abundance, then change them.
While waiting for your ship to come in, you might want to consider swimming out to meet its arrival instead. And this means making some definite changes in your lifestyle!
With things being the easiest to change or adjust in order to live like a millionaire, let’s start here. No, you don’t have to over-extend your credit or borrow against your house to buy high-end clothes, jewelry, or that Mercedes SUV.
However, you can buy high-end clothes at some thrift stores. You would be amazed at the stuff rich people throw out. An Ann Taylor cardigan can be had for a measly $3. A Gucci bag for $10 has been found at one particular thrift shop.
Quit wearing Wal-Mart. It screams, “I can’t afford anything better.” Do a bit of searching on E-bay, as well. Used, expensive brands - as long as they are in good condition - are better than new cheap ones if you are going to play the part.
Also, under things to change, your habits and attitude have got to exude security and wealth.
If you’re overweight, lose it. If you’re not in good health, it’s sure going to be hard to have a positive attitude. Treat your body like a temple and you will be amazed at the different mindset this will create.
Once you have the mindset of possibility, you can turn that into probability. This will gain momentum as you begin living and acting like a millionaire, and will be necessary for changing the places and people in your life.
By the way, if you don’t already have one, trade your desktop computer in for a laptop. This will be helpful for the next change - places. Having your laptop available makes it easier to hang out while waiting to strike up a conversation with the right person.
You have got to start changing the places you go. Since it’s not possible to yet change your residence, you will have to change where you go to seek entertainment and socialization.
Start attending art shows and other cultural events. Make it a point to find out where the rich people go and show up. And don’t forget to mingle. Don’t lie about having money, but choose your words carefully so as not to reveal how little money you have.
Remember, you want to keep these rich people close so don’t ruin it by getting caught in a lie. This leads to the next aspect of change that must be implemented: people.
No, don’t set out to disown your family and friends! But you must start hanging with a more positive and wealthier group of people. This includes those who have so called “made it.”
And if that’s not quite possible yet, then by golly you better start reading and researching everything they have done to attain wealth, and do the same thing.
It is time to step up your game at this point and begin modeling those who have achieved some sort of success. To do this, you are going to have to spend less time with those who may be hindering your goals.
Sometimes, your best friend can be your worst advocate. Ask yourself, is this person affecting my life positively or dragging me down? Be honest.
It is probably the best way to learn how to live like a millionaire while waiting to become one. Changing the people with whom you associate on a regular basis is the most influential way of changing your whole lifestyle.
