How Fireworks became Popular in the United States

Fireworks can be one of the things that makes the United States of America so special. This is the one country in the world so far that really loves fireworks. One can look into the reasons that fireworks have become so popular in this country. The popularity of fireworks in the United States goes as far back as the birth of this country. This had come from the earlier settlers that came from England and Europe. Even before the United States of America was born, via the US Declaration of Independence, fireworks have already been popular for the most part.

In 1777, the first year that Independence Day was celebrated, fireworks were made as part of the festivities. When General George Washington became inaugurated as the first United States President, fireworks was part of the celebration of festivities. Since then, the use of fireworks would continue to grow in popularity in the United States. However, it would not be until the Walt Disney Company in which fireworks would become increasingly popular. It would be because of Disney in which fireworks have become popular in the United States. In the United States, the Walt Disney Company is the largest user of fireworks in the world let alone in the United States.

Obviously, in the United States, there are fireworks displays on Independence Day, New Year’s Eve, and perhaps during Memorial Day. Fireworks are used to celebrate those two holidays. This contributes to why fireworks are very popular in regards to the United States. But, it would be due to the Walt Disney Company which skyrocketed the popularity of fireworks. In the United States, Walt Disney has these parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios (formerly known as MGM Studios), Disneyland, and so forth.

Every night, the most notable of Disney parks have a fireworks display each night. If you go to Disneyland in California, you will see a nightly display of fireworks. If you go to the Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Florida, you will be greeted with a nightly display of fireworks. If you go to Disney World’s Epcot Center, you will see a nightly fireworks display called IlluniNations: Reflections of Earth which has special editions for Independence Day and New Year’s Eve.

Due to Disney being the largest buyer and consumer of fireworks in the country, the popularity of fireworks has increased. However, Independence Day remains the main reason for the popularity of fireworks. Before and during Independence Day on July 4, there are various places where you can buy your fireworks. It was Independence Day that ignited the popularity of the fireworks; but, Disney increased the popularity of fireworks. If you think Disneyland or Disney World, you may think fireworks or vice-versa.
