Fear Begets Racism even Today

Racism is not just caused by fear. Rather, it actually is a fear, or phobia, of people unlike oneself. While most forms of fear are natural, and even necessary for survival in certain situations, that particular type of fear seems to be learned from one’s environment instead of being innate.

But the question is who is teaching and/or reinforcing this fear, and what do they gain from it being continually reinforced and taught? The answer is clearly indicated in the now famous quote from one of Barack Obama’s closest allies, Rahm Emmanuel “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”  Throughout his time as President, he seems to have been quite adept at using various crises to further his agenda.

Crises and fear naturally go together. Democrats have plainly used fear of just about everything under the sun to further their agenda. Global warming is one such example. There is plenty of proof that cuts in favor of the possibility of it being just a hoax, some of which is found in this article. They have also even tried to invoke fear of Republican victories themselves…..”Republicans want dirty air and water”, Republicans want old people to lose their social security and die”, etc. So why should it be a stretch to think they would resort to keeping up racism to a fever pitch to help their goals along?

Certainly most of the worst crises throughout all of human history have been racism. It may even be absolutely the most prevalent root cause. There is certainly no sign it will ever disappear despite all the steps which have been taken to alleviate, if not outright eliminate, it.  Indeed, there is plenty of evidence of Democrats and the left-leaning media trying to keep it alive and resulting in the flip side of racism as seen in the much ballyhooed controversy of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.

Barack Obama weighed in with the observation that “if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon.” Well, which appearance is he speaking of? The five year old picture of a smiling 12 year old that was featured on most news broadcasts or Martin as he actually looked at the time of the incident? Several of these pictures sure look like a somewhat older teen who was more than capable of producing injuries to a grown man such as the ones on Zimmerman’s head pictured here.

It seems to be way past time for a consensus that racism cuts both ways. Given human failings, it will probably never be totally eliminated any more than any other human fault will be, but there was no reason to go to the lengths which were taken to sensationalize the incident. When one looks around America as it is today, they will see people of all races who actually took the time to work towards the goals they had for themselves to succeed. Not all achieve the same degree of success, but they have generally gotten what they wanted out of life. That is where public attention needs to be instead of over-blown stories which have been doctored to achieve a certain state of mind in the public.
