Not-so-innocent little girls: How society and celebrities are affecting our children

Little girls are a dying breed these days. All over the world girls are maturing at a faster rate, and becoming more knowledgeable about the world at a very young age. Young girls are also becoming targets if the fast paced life in today’s society, and they tend to imitate what they see from the media. These little girls are loosing their childhood, and they continue to grow at a faster pace.  Little girls as young as three years old compete for the attention of boys. This is quite shocking but it is the reality that we are facing.

Celebrities encourage this type pf behaviour that allows children to grow up at a faster rate, and lead a very grown up lifestyle. These celebrities may be classified as heroes for these girls, and they catch on to all the bad habits, and immoral ways that these celebrities live. These little girls get a kick out of living the life that celebrities live,  and are growing up too fast, and patents are doing doing to stop this fast growth.

Society expects a lot from the ” little ladies” of today. Girls as young as six are expected to dress in a certain way, and also use lots of make up. No one seems to make a big noise about the fact that make up can damage a young child’s skin, and they are being taught to act in a certain way. Children should be playing with dolls, and running around. Instead they are increasing focusing their attention on dressing up ad moving around in luxury and style. These things should come later but society is turning little girls into some sort of dangerous supermodels. There are even clothes that most shops sell for little girls that make them look ”sexy”. Some stores even sell high heels for little girls. This is outrageous.

Celebrities are much to balme for little girls growing up way too fast. Many paretns are conservative, but they cannot control at what pace their children grow up. Celebrities tend to help little girls focus on things that they do not need to worry about. Lots of girls as young as twelve and thirteen are getting into relationships with boys. This is not right as the children are way too small to be in relationships.
