I have always been the type of person that worked hard to get where I am at and wondered why someone else could do nothing and get further ahead. Well some may say that it is luck and others like me say that it takes hard work and determination. I strongly believe that the success of a person is based solely on the effort they put forth. Yes, there are some individuals that seem to be just plain lucky.

For the most part though, regular people have to bust their tails to have the success that they have. I am all for getting a lucky break but I believe that success will be more enjoyable if you know that you worked for it and it was not just handed to you. There are individuals that have everything given to them at birth, but their parents had to work for the success that allowed them to have that.

Being rich and being successful are two totally different things. You can be rich all day long but if you are not successful what is the point. I would rather be successful and not be rich then to be rich and not successful. This is because if you are rich and you have not seen success then it is just money, but if you are successful and then you get rich from that success then that is an accomplishment.

There were many times that I would want to give up trying because I was so frustrated at working hard and still not getting anywhere. Then I would see someone that did not have to do anything and make it big, I fought with this for a long time until I realized that it does not matter how long it takes you to be successful, it only matters that you did it.

I do not know of any greater accomplishment in life then success. Success can do wonders for you. It  will boost your self-confidence and much more. I would say that I feel that success is so much more important than luck is because we all know that success will always be here and luck comes and goes.

So the next time you are on the fence post about whether you are lucky or not lucky when it comes to success, just ask yourself did I work hard or just sit back and wait on success to fall in my lap.
