There is a natural loving instinct that is born inside a mother which will last through out time. It isn’t something you can be taught or something that can be bought at a department store or on line. You don’t even neccessarily have to go through the physical long process of baring labor pains, or witnessing the miracle of birth as your child takes it’s first breath. There have been thousands of mothers for decades that have never bared children, but still rock the cradle by giving love to foster or adopted children. Motherhood is not just a 24/7 job, it is a life time committment. It is only in ignorance that some believe motherhood responsiblities end once a child reaches the ripe young age of eighteen years old. That is just a government stopping point in which they decided that its time for your parental responsibilities to end. Guidance for a child goes on through out their life regardless of their age. There is a forever part of them that will always be your five year old, or your ten year old, or your sixteen year old. The golden stages of child development stays in your heart and your memory for ever. A mother always reaches a point while raising a child, in which she is getting back something more precious then what she is giving. A mother knows deep inside that she is being blessed with the ability to guide a divine being. A child of the creator of the universe,is depending on her nurturing heart and soul, to guide them and lead them in the right direction.

There probably have been hard times in which you didn’t know which way to turn. You didn’t know if you were strong enough or able to really help your child or lead your child into the right direction. Many times you felt like you were going to fail, You may have felt like raising your hands and calling it quits. Something intrinsically powerful in you stopped you from giving up. That great hand that rocks the cradle comes from a inner spiritual strength that refuses to be defeated. You courageously advance and utilize all the unconditional love in you to continue to nurture your child. You feel the love with in that child as much as you can hear your heart beating or feel your lungs expanding as you inhale and exhale. Every stage of growth within your childs life is a stage of growth in your life. You see being a mother, is more than what you are giving your child, it is also what you are constantly evolving into. You are becoming a stronger more compassionate person. A person that can reach out and help some one else with out wondering what your going to get from it. The ego part of yourself is kicked to the side. Their is no place for self centerness when you are the hand that rocks the cradle. The golden key of your motherly natural instinct guides you and strengthens you even during the darkest time. Even when you may feel you can’t reach your child any more. You feel the hold of peer pressure has taken its hold on your child. You feel you can not compete with the video games, the cell phones, the Iphones or the friends that call at all hours of the night. What you must remember their is a natural instinct within your child whether its your biological child or a adopted child that yearns to be loved by a mother. Before they had any knowledge of cell phones or iphones or video games or friends that called them at all hours of the night, there was a need to be loved by a mother. It is the most natural desire within them. You will always be apart of them, as they will always be a part of you. Don’t be fooled by these so called replacement gadgets because when its all said it done, they will fade away. The thing that is the truth, is that your bond is invinceble. Your hand that rocks the cradle will always be there.
