Why all Illegal Immigrants in the us should be Expelled Immediately they are Illegal
It is astounding when humankind exercises the ability to rationalize anything. Illegal immigration, though illegal, is easily redefined as a right, according to the desires of the person who is for immigration.
Illegal immigration is a grave crime, no matter how long the person has been in residence, has been doing fine and has been contributing to society, according to people who are against immigration.
This rationalization and redefining is mostly on a selective basis. The darker the skin, the less desirable the immigrant, no matter how much the immigrant has to offer. Certain countries of origin or certain religions can make a person undesirable. Too many of some people of color is too much, while whites are readily accepted, even if they come here to build crime empires so evil that law enforcement will not touch them.
When is the last time that Russian, Albanian or Eastern European organized crime figures who are not legal citizens were rounded up with great fanfare and removed from our soil? The interest only seems to apply to tan, brown and black people.
Some people want to keep the descendants of slaves on the lowest levels of the social totem pole, no matter who is allowed to come in to block their rise to opportunity. There is a special hatred in America for the descendants of slaves. Thus, any people of color, even from the Caribbean, are more desirable than the descendants of America’s evil past. In the South, all of the skilled workers, from masons and tailors to architects were slaves. When European immigration boomed, all of these workers were run off, sometimes burned out of their homes, and left to fend for themselves.
As a result, some Americans would love to see the last immigrant arrive and all of the illegal immigrants taken out of here. Then they can begin to hope.
It is difficult to understand the reasoning that, just because parents or grand parents were immigrants, that every one else from a country of origin is entitled to come here.
Conversely, by calling us “all” immigrants, the claim is made that being born here means nothing. This is insulting and it is silly. We are not immigrants if we were born here. This is the country that we know and it is the society that we know. And we should not be manipulated into degrading our citizenship by birth into something worthless in order to accommodate anyone who wants an excuse to come here, or who is overcome by greed for what is here.
Illegal immigrants should be rounded up and immediately deported if they have been here for less than 20 years and even one of the following issues, but there is no formula that will please or serve all, and no such formula is being suggested here.
They have any criminal or civil conviction
They have stolen a real citizen’s identity
They are associated with organized crime
They are associated with illegal items or contraband, including illegal drugs
They are unemployed or have no other legitimate reason to be here on a visa
Illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay if they have been here for at least 10 years and have any of the following issues
Pending or unresolved claims of asylum or humanitarian issues
Completion of two years of satisfactory military, civil or other public service (this should lead to citizenship)
Have been working and are regarded as essential or beneficial workers
Agree to leave if they do not qualify for or wish to apply for citizenship within 5 years or so
Have sufficient income from legitimate sources to decrease dependency on public support.
Of course, such simple ideas cannot possibly cover the entirety of human concerns, issues or problems. There are heartbreaking cases, many of which are never showcased by the mainstream media. Many heartbreaking or tragic situations are not publicized or protested as part of some group’s political and social agenda.
But the idea that anyone who wishes to come here illegally has a right to come here; that immigrant status should be applied to “all” of us; or that there are unlimited resources or ability to absorb out of control illegal immigration, will help to drag this country deeper into crisis than it already is.
There needs to be a stop, then a reversal, then a correction, then a time to recover and to rebuild our nation, because illegal immigration is out of control as it is, not just in America, but in many countries.
