In 2009 being a muslim is synonim of segregation.

Of course segration has changed and evolved since the 1950’s, you won’t find signs on shops stating that “christians or jewish only may enter”, but in many ways this new perverse and dormant hatred for everything muslim is much more destructive.

You will admit that the Bush administration has done nothing to help. For 8 years the american people have been told that the sum of all fear was muslim. That muslims were out to destroy their way of life and that they needed to be crushed under the righteous feet of the western civilization. Islam became the “Axe of Evil”, Muslims became the sons of the Anti-Christ.

America had found a new ennemy……..

For security reasons muslims were to be searched at airports, the government discarded their civil rights and emprisonned them without the chance of a fair trial, their houses were bugged, their communities under surveillance… ring a bell? ( the cold war )

Muslims have been unable to voice their outraged and anger by fear of being sent to Guantanamo. Muslims have been unable to live freely amongst the american society. Over 8 years many have decided to live altogether the country by fear of persecutions. Many have deserted the mosques by fear of being labelled a fanatic. A bearded man will shout at in the street.

America rained its missiles on Irak, Israel confident that noone would mind destroyed schools, hospitals and UN facilities……. Israel do not allow palestinians to freely move from Gaza to the West Bank, they decide what type of food goes through if at all. Palestinians have become prisonners in their land. Muslim-israeli are discreminated against in Israel were if you are not jewish you are nothing.

America has supported Israel in all their decisions and they followed the politic at home, in more subtle ways of course. The FBI has an exhaustive list of muslims in the land, which in a scary ways ressemble the Nazis lists……

But it wasnn’t enough they had to launch an international witch hunt….. Afchanistan, Irak, Iran, Syria.. again muslim countries, Lebanon, Palestine… the list continues.

An FBI office in every muslim country, control over the customs, control over the banking system, control over Islam. But the World remains oblivious, silent witness.

Segregation is turning international. The killing of innocent civilians is little frowned upon nowadays, after all terrorists are hiding amongs them, or is it like those invisible and elusive weapons of mass destruction that the US government claimed to be looking for? Who is to decide who is the terrorist?

In my view the West needs to serioulsly rethink their ethic and moral when it comes to Islam. Skin colours are no more the issue, religion is. Racism is still very much alive.

Until the world realize that this is the real evil that hatred is the real ennemy, there will not be a chance of peace in the Middle East or anywhere else for that matter.

Terrrorists have always used fear and hate to spread terror and serve their purpose. They will hide like the Taliban under the banner of Islam or like Ehud Olmert behind the Star of David. Those people need to be trialed, those people need to be cast aside.
