Racism Negro Whites Ethnicity

Mere decades ago signs were posted stating “Whites Only” ir “No Colored People Allowed”. Nowadays we have the NAACP, Negro Colleges, etc. These organizations may not have actual signs stating “No Whites Allowed” but they are producing the same racism that was directed towards these groups decades ago. This is what we mean by the term “reverse racism”. Even though, I must admit, the term itself is Ludicrous. Racism is has the smae effect, regardless of which group of people it is directed towards. In this case, we will refer to the racism of Blacks versus Whites, that is, people with darker colored skin creating racism against tjose with fairer skin. I am not racist, and never grew up in a racist family, but I do feel a little uneasy with groups such as the United Negro Foundation that provides numerous scholarships solely to colered people. For years we (the United States of America) has been battling racism and we have tried our best to erase it and fix all the wrond doings of the past (Slavery, false imprisonments, etc.). Unfortunately, the advancements of Negro Colleges and all Negro organizations is only forcing us to take backward steps. Think about it, if I attended and “Whites Only” college, I would be considered a racist and there would be protests to have the college reformed to include poeple of all ethnic backgrounds. However, the Negro Colleges, which only accept those of a specific ethnicity, are not considered racist in any means. I believe that its just a double standard that is only allowed because we feel “guilty” for what happened so many years ago. Well, I don’t feel guilty. I, nor my family, have never enslaved a person of a different ethnicity and I have never practiced racist beliefs so I can actually feel comfortable when speaking up on this issue. If we continue to let this proceed, we will be undoing what we have been fighting for. Segregation will again rule but this time it will seem to be “reversed”. Whites will be excluded from many more organizations and opportunities. I believe in equal opportunity, just as Martin Luther King Jr. did. No one should be excluded from anything because of their race, religion, or gender. Colleges should not be formed to have attendees of only one ethnicity and scholarship programs should not give out rewards to recipients of only one ethnicity. Our world is diverse, and our colleges, organizations, etc. should reflect that. Racism, “reverse racism”, whatever you want to call it, exists and it is doing nothing to help improve our Nation’s reputation.
