Japan Christianity Buddhism

When you see Japan and its people, you can see so much prosperous culture, religion, and a capitalism driven business world. I have experienced first hand how incredible a place Japan can be, and have seen how proud they are of their religious beliefs. In Japan, there are 2 main religions practiced. Shintoism and Buddhism. Buddhism involves the path to enlightenment to achieve Nirvana. Buddhism is a very interesting religion in that you don’t hear very much about how “hostile” it can be. Amoung the major religions in the world, Buddhism is one of the biggist in all of Asia. Japan relies on its religions to affect their day to day lives. Buddhism has shrines all over the big cities, small towns, and roadside villiages where people will go to pray daily to ask for help, for peace, and for success. The major cooporations in Japan have CEO’s who are the big shots, the people that everyone look up to. But how hard is it for them to know how much better off their lives would be if they had Jesus.

The truth about Japan is that there is a whole other world that is unseen to the rest of the world. A Japan that is wrapped in chains, waiting for someone to come and break them. Buddhism may be a religion that many people practice, but there are no rewards waiting for them on the other side of life. Buddhism has many peaceful places all throughout Japan that are very good tourist attractions, but what are they offering to people? Other religions cannot offer peace the way that Jesus can offer peace. He stands at the door of your heart, knocking, over and over again. Waiting for you to answer him. If you choose to follow him, your life will open up with opportunities and peace in your life in such a way that you have never experienced before. Following things like buddhism will only lead down a path towards darkness. The light will be blotted out, and you will only be fooling your, coasting through life, unaware that the things you thought your life was meant for was only a facade, for something darker. Be warned, Buddhism can’t get your life together the way that Jesus can.

Buddhism doesn’t really see much need for a savior, because Buddhism is a practice that focuses on earning your salvation through your good deeds. It is everything that Japan is about. Japan is a wonderful place to experience hospitality at its finest. From the second you get into the country you will be treated like you were family. This is all having to do with Buddhism. Imagine what the Japanese are like with the love of Jesus. I had the blessing fo being around believers in Jesus who were so kind and blessed with that great love which comes from knowing Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
