Reasons to live in Jamaica
Jamaica is one of few countries in the world that you are allowed to be truly liberated. The culture is one that caters to a variety of personalities, lifestyles and religions. This little island in the Caribbean has lived up to its motto “Out of Many on People” and as such is an excellent place to live.
Jamaicans are described has being warm and friendly a group of people who welcome everone and anyone with open arms. Is it because of the warm sunshine that glows all over the island in the daytime or is it the sweet aroma of freshness that lingers in the air? The typical Jamaican leaves work at 5pm on a Monday, reaches home at about 7pm, sleeps and gets up at 10pm goes to a little hang-out spot like Cudzy or Xcape, then at 12am they show up at Hot Mondaze then at 2am they leave and go to the building until 5am and then they get ready for work at 6am.
Let us now look at the religious side of Jamaica. This country has every single religion you can think of, all of which is accepted. This Island does not reject any religion from Jews to Muslims. They are allowed to work and live without any trouble or discrimination. You don’t need to go far to attend a church. Diana R. Thorburn wrote an article in 2006 that was published in The Sunday Guardian which stated that in 1999 there were 606 denominations registered in Jamaica. This therefore means that one does not need to feel trapped by a region instead they have the option to go to the Church of their choice. This is great to Christians people who want to serve good or the other of you who and non-Christians but want to feel comfortable in their only little religious communities.
What if I just want to work and relax or just retire? Well, Jamaica offers lots and lots of activities for you. Going to the beach, relaxing and just basking in the sun, sipping coconut water and eating escoveitch fish and bammy. On a weekend you can always drive down to Dunns River Falls and just soak your body into fresh clear water. But wait you may want to be pampered by natural spas and enjoy the perfume of beautiful flowers and plants. Well, Jamaica is the place to be. The Bath Botanical Gardens was established to allow person to experience the Bath Mineral Spa a tranquil environment. It is the second oldest botanical gardens in the Western Hemisphere.
Castleton Gardens is located in St. Mary and lies on 10 hectares of land through which the Wag Water River runs. It is a sanctuary for many birds and offers a delightful appeal for anyone who wishes to hide away for a while from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life.
If these are not enough reasons to live in Jamaica then come for the food. Jamaica has several exotic and rare dishes. Do you love the taste of herbs and spices, does your mouth water when you reminisce about the aroma of thymes, scallion, pepper sweet pepper, bell paper pimento, onions, a little cinnamon boiled in coconut milk and cod fish, served with some nice dumpling and banana.
