I am 42 years old and have been hearing about the “big ape-man” since I was seven years old. Growing up in New York’s countryside during the 70’s and 80’s there was no shortage of tall tales and embellished stories regarding this creature, yet common sense prevailed and I soon realized that “bigfoot” could be tossed up alongside of “Nessy” otherwise known as the “Loch Ness Monster”. One would have to assume that by now if this being actually existed that proof positve would have been found by now. Instead we simply have more questions. This creature would certainly have to have a large IQ for it to have known to stay hidden for so long and from what the “experts” have said the “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch” has an unusually small head in proportion to the rest of it’s body, hinting at at smaller sized brain. So, there goes the theory that they are smarter than man.

What confuses people to this day is that fact that almost every “eye witness” that has ever come forward has had impeccable character and usually average to above average intelligence. With so many sightings having been reported one has to be curious whether or not they believe. What exactly is it that these eye witnesses are seeing? or are they simply fueling the fire of the seventy year old urban legend? Logically one has to assume that at the very least half of all reports are definate lies, with the “eyewitness” simply searching for their own 15 minutes of fame. Since so many of these so called eyewitness accounts have been dissected. scrutinzed, and essentially proven to be hoaxes. How can anyone really believe in this creatures existance?

There are many websites online today that offer up alleged first hand eye witness accounts from Alabama to Alaska and just about everywhere in between. The ironic thing about these accounts is that the majority of them come from extremely trustworthy people. So, what could the creature be that they have reportedly seen? For years the eye witnesses have claimed that Big Foot or Sasquatch is an ape like, man like creature covered in hair, not fur ,walking upright on hind legs unlike that of a gorilla.

If these beings truly exist then why after all these years are there no bodies being found? or bones? Why is it that all we really have to go on is the word of respectable witnesses, some hair samples, and a few cement footprint castings. If these beings actually exist? then one or two have surely died over the last seventy some odd years.
