Newspapers have seen a major nosedive in circulation due to the Internet all but putting them out of business. People still lead social lives by going out, going to bars, sporting events, movies, etc, but people also use computers to connect with old and new friends. People are using computers as social networking tools. People talk to each other through Face book, Twitter, their blogs, websites, and on just about every website where there is a comment section. People are virtually a mouse click away from talking to another person. It is like making a phone call, but now people can get messages to as many or as few people as possible.
