Is Health more Important than Wealth - Yes
Health is one thing, and wealth is another. Those things are really quite important for us to have. Somehow we tend to be confused to as which one is more important. If we could consider with a clear mind without any emotional attachment, the answer should be quite obvious.
Health is certainly more important than wealth. There is a famous saying from an old sage that goes something like this. “When you loose your wealth, you will loose something. But when you loose your health, you will loose everything!”
Wealth is of course a great thing to have. But really, health is more important than wealth. Without health, wealth will seem so unimportant. It is quite obvious and should be easily understood by all and sundry.
Let’s take a look at this simple situation for the sake of simulation. Let’s say you have one million dollar in your bank account. And you have a big mansion overlooking a great beach-front, with an equally great swimming pool. In your garage you are having a modest Ferrari. And the most important thing above it all that you own, you have a stunningly beautiful wife.
You have it all. What’s more could you ask? But wait. You only have ONE drawback. You have an erectile dysfunction, a disease which makes you impotent and cannot satisfy your wife in bed. And you are still in your thirties. Life is still a long way to go. What a blow. All great things you own seem meaningless. What a really tragic situation. How you want to satisfy your wife? Just ONE health problem, and all your good life seems darker and sober.
And here we talk ONLY about one health issue. We don’t talk about any other disease or complication. Nor do we mention any cancer, for goodness sake. We only talk about ONE health issue that not altogether fatal!
And there is one healthy but a bit penny-less black man. He is as fit as fiddle. And it happened that you must recruit him to sleep with your beautiful wife. You have no other option, or otherwise she will leave you. And you must do this hellish thing repeatedly. The black man is more than happy to do it. What a tragic contradiction.
Life is an enigma. Men pursue wealth above all else, but many abandon health. It’s sure funny and tragic at the same time. Maybe we human are really a fool bunch of materialistic animal. Health or wealth, they are all important to us. It’s only about what is more important. At the end of the day, nothing is wrong about having both of it.
