Who Drinks more Alcohol Men or Women - Men

Who drinks more alcohol: Men or Women?

Men definitely drinks more than women, and it’s my opinion, it is because women’s bodies cannot consume the amount of alcohol that men do. It if felt though that women can become addicted easier than men because their bodies have less body mass and less body water than men, and this increases a higher concentration of alcohol in their blood and it also produces an increased impairment from drinking the same amount.

It is also known that women are not caught driving under the influence of alcohol as often as men because they do drink less. I believe most women watch their surroundings and watch exactly how much they are drinking because they fear the dangers that can come to them by drinking too much, i.e., promiscuous sex, getting caught driving under the influence, and becoming a habitual alcoholic, and they fear these consequences.

Many women believe when they are drinking alcohol, it eases their emotional strains from problem relationships, family problems, jobs, financial responsibilities, etc. Some women have a weak tendency and want to run away from their personal problems and they think by drinking they can shut it out temporarily. You are only kidding yourself! When in reality, they are pulling themselves further down into a pit of depression and anxieties.

The metabolism of alcohol in men versus women: It is known that women have a higher liver volume to body mass ratio, causing alcohol to be expelled (metabolized) quicker in the blood stream of women faster than that for men. If women drinks one alcohol drink per day, and men drink two drinks per day, it can start to become a problem for them. If they go above this amount of drinks, it creates blood alcohol that can be toxic and damaging.

Studies have shown that women are more likely to mix prescription drugs with their alcohol, and women are more susceptible to physical health problems which are related to drinking, i.e., brain damage, cancer, physical and sexual assault, liver disease, and heart failure. It is also known that death comes to women who drink much sooner than men. Those women who become alcoholics get cirrhosis of the liver and suffer more from domestic violence to them.

Regardless of your sex, if you are suffering from alcohol abuse to yourself, you should seek medical advice and get to counseling as soon as you possibly can. The quicker you accept the fact that “you are an alcoholic” the quicker you’ll be able to get yourself some professional help. If you do not, your life will only end up becoming a big hell and you’ll see yourself deteriorating to a terrible state.
