For several decades now there has been talk in the new age community of the psychic evolution of humankind. This metaphysical evolution of our consciousness is occurring at a much faster rate than the physical evolution our species has experienced in the past. Indigo, Crystal, and Rainbow Children have been born into the last three generations, respectively. The Indigo Children are probably the most well-known and the oldest, being born in the 1980s, with some born earlier, known as Indigo Scouts. Rainbow Children are the youngest and being born now, with Crystal Children in the middle born in the mid-1990s and early millennial years. 

Crystal Children are very different from Indigos and also different from Rainbow Children. The Indigo Children are often referred to as having “warrior spirits.” They are agents of change, often misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) or labelled troublemakers. They have a hard time with the way things are with their dislike of authority and antiquated systems. They dislike being manipulated, patronized, or made to be part of anything similar to group mentality. They often provoke others into action and have a great ability to sense dishonesty as well as possess some psychic powers. Crystal children are nearly the opposite. They are known as “the peacemakers.”

The Crystal Children are ideals of sorts, showing us which way humanity is heading. They are extremely affectionate and loving, almost to a fault. They are generous and forgiving, as well as very sensitive to their environments. Hostility and negative energy hurt them severely. They will either start speaking very early or develop speech later in childhood. The latter plays a big part in them being misdiagnosed with Autism spectrum disorders. The Indigos were born to create a path for the Crystal Children, initiating the change that the Crystals need to flourish. Crystals are even more adept psychically than Indigos. Their telepathic abilities are what cause them to develop speech later than other children. 

Rainbow Children are rare as they are the most recent generation, being born to now young adult Crystal Children. Unlike both the Indigos and Crystals, they are pure beings. They are said to have never been incarnated on the Earth before and are very near to divinity as a result. They are the epitome of human spiritual evolution, even more loving and forgiving than the Crystal Children before them. Rainbow Children have no fear and complete trust in the divine. Being in their presence is often unnerving to many people as a result. They are here to heal and help everyone in any way that they can, guided by the Crystal Children.
