Pornagraphy Harmless Fun - Agree

Pornography: The depiction of erotic behavior intended to cause sexual excitement. Either written or imagery.  No where in the definition of Pornography does it say rape, abuse, violence or adultery. Pornography, not unlike other types of media entertainment is intended for just that, entertainment. I am going to go from strictly personal feelings on this particular issue. Normally I would research and throw in a few facts. however when it comes to moral issues, either you are for it or against it, regardless of what others may say.

As a  red-blooded American male fast approaching the mid-life age, I can tell you from personal experience that pornography is just that, entertainment. I grew up watching Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Adam 12, The Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas and Debbie Does Dallas. I have yet to rob a stagecoach, have a showdown, outrun the Police, shoot J.R or force myself on a woman. Why? Because I grew up watching entertainment on TV and being taught the difference between entertainment and the real world. I knew from an early age that when you hit someone, ZONK!, BANG!, BOOM! and ZAP! wouldn’t appear in a little balloon over their heads. Batman was a TV show and Wonderwoman, as hot as she was, was Linda Carter in a Bikini.

I have been to Strip Clubs from East Coast USA to The Far East. I have seen old people, young adults, skinny people and obese people in all their glory, as God intended, running around with nothing on but a smile. I have been in Sex Clubs and Swingers parties. Adult movie theaters and Sex Shops. I have internet access at home and have seen things that I have thought were just plain weird and some that were disgusting. Things that were interesting and things that were repulsive. All of these things I have witnessed in person or VIA media of one kind or another. All of them had one thing in common. They were all CONSENTING ADULTS.

Pornography isn’t only for those that “Can’t get it on their own”. It is a useful tool in relationships, as well. Although, many people that are appalled at the idea of pornography, they technically are using a form of pornography when they open up Cosmo and read “Ten ways to better satisfy your man in bed”. Although the wording isn’t as main street and the terminology used is more professional in appearance, it is still a form of pornography. Pornographic Videos are used by many couples to add a little spice to things. It gives them new ideas to try. For some it is an escape from the humdrum of every day routines. It can provide a little fantasy and excitement through role playing. For some it is the mere thought that because it is Taboo and what if someone see us doing this, or what if someone finds this in the house. They will think we are perverts. The thrill of being caught doing something not illegal, but naughty is excitement enough for some.

Sex has been around since the dawn of time. The fact that there are hundreds of millions of people on the earth is proof of the fact. Why is it that seeing someone perform the acts that everyone does behind closed doors is so repulsive and disgusting to some people? It is the same as a woman breastfeeding in public. If it offends you and you don’t want to see it, then turn your head and don’t look. Don’t rent the video, buy the magazine or click on the Internet link. It is that simple.

Pornography is not to blame for rape or child molestation. It is not to blame for prostitution or the sex slave trade. Mental instability and poor moral values are to blame for those things. Pornography did not start the process nor did it provide an outlet for the crime to be performed. It is just an easy scapegoat for those that wish to force their sense of morality on others.

Pornography does not promote or incite violence. It is strictly a form of entertainment. Any one who commits an act of violence did so because they were going to do it. Pornography did not cause it, poor judgement, poor upbringing or maybe mental instability caused them to commit the crime. What happens between consenting adults should not be to blame for the lack of judgement and responsibility of others.

It may come as a surprise to many of you that are against Pornography to find that I am a happily married man. I have been married to my first and only wife for the last 12 years. She is a wonderful and beautiful woman that understands that fantasy is a part of everyones life, in one fashion or another. She has accompanied me to strip clubs, sex shops, swingers clubs and nudist places. We have done things together that neither of us would have ever done on our own. Things that are not illegal and by our standards not immoral. Every one was an adult and everyone was consenting. My wife’s views on Pornography are very similar to mine only the wording is different. When asked how she feels about me looking at pornography online or in person she will reply with this simple little statement. “I Don’t care who is pumping up the tire as long as I am the one riding the bicycle.”
