Are People Inherently Good no - No

there is no such thing as a inherently good or evil person, anyone who believes differently must be either a optimist, pessimist, biased or naive as to how the world works. the examples for good being not inherent are everywhere around us, whether we wish to see that or not is not really up for debate, it is the fact the notion of inherent good in people is.

for instance we all know, children under a certain age hardly grasp the concept of good or evil, which we over the years hammer and mold into their psyches til they grasp and comprehend fully the meaning of them. whether the meanings given are right by law or social standards, it hardly matters to the parent or teacher, they just want someone to continue there line of beliefs of “right” and “wrong”. so society goes on to live another day, the tradition continues and so does the subjective idea of right and wrong, good and evil.

though as we grow older and older, farther and farther from the influences that have molded us into whom we are at this given point, we began testing this idea of good and evil. so can we really say that we did any of this testing the bounds out of good will? are any of us really exempt of evil? i hardly see it likely that someone could remain utterly good by any and all peoples standards. as there being too many to try and keep to and avoid erring in some way from those standards of good set up for whatever place we find ourselves at that moment.

as for criminals, they are adults and have made the decision to go against the grain, commiting some act considered legally wrong and or possibly morally wrong by many. they are the best and prime examples that we are not as whole inherently good and are in fact, far from that very notion. so why would a inherently good person decide to commit something considered a crime, other than for a good intention like self-defense or the well being of another?

i could hardly make a good case against inherent good in people without meantioning the biggest example of there not being inherent good of all, nature itself. there is no inherent good anywhere to be seen, let alone heard in nature itself, because the idea (along with evil) are conventional and foreign to it. their are no ethics or morals evident whenever a carnivore eats another animal that pretty much their food, the only law or inherent quality, is the need to survive and thats all that seems to be important.
