Men Stereotypes Common

Admit it. We always have stereotypes of guys that although we deny it, our minds eventually agree with it. There are popular stereotypes of male characters we often hear. The culture and society somehow manage to doctrine us with these stereotypes even though not all of them are true.

These are some stereotypical judgments commonly spread :

Men are afraid of commitment

This is not quite true. Some men just think that they need to be financially settled before they get married. Hence, they don’t want to involve in any commitment before they can responsible for it.

Men always think about sex

Not only sex, men think about sports, cars, gadgets and many other things, too. Apparently, sex is just part of their thoughts.

Men always see outer beauty

But aren’t women do, too? Our first impression would be the appearance. But as time goes by, people have different views on the person as a whole, inside and outside.

No cooking things

Try Jamie Oliver. He is a guy and he knows how to cook delicious meals. Practically, men want everything to be simple. Some men may find cooking is too complicated to be done.

Mechanic savvy

Every man is mechanically smart. Well, some find it as hobby may be agree but to some who are only interested in riding it, don’t think so.

Always use their logic

We often heard the wise words “Act like a lady, think like a man”. A guy tends to use their logical thoughts rather than their feelings. As they like to be practical, they want things to be rational.

Men never cry

This stereotype is commonly learned since kindergarten. Parents tell sons that boys don’t cry. The truth is, crying is good to control our emotion instead of hiding it inside.

Men are deceitful

This is probably the most popular stereotype among women. Guys really know what to say in order not to hurt girls. And somehow this act is considered manipulative

Tech savvy

Not every guy has the interest in technology. And don’t expect every guy to know how to install or reboot your computer. It is just part of the judgment that men should handle complicated things regarding cables and machines.

Strong and powerful

Nobody is perfect and even though a man’s body is well-built, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a weak point. After all, we are just humans with imperfection, aren’t we?
