Why we Make Mistakes and how to Deal with them
Why We Make Mistakes is Quite Simply, Part of Life!
So many times in my own life, I’ve heard people ask this question of themselves, their friends, and their significant others. It never ceases to amaze me when they do so because the answer is quite obvious. Yes, I can hear you reading this now,” if it’s so simple why do we keep making mistakes in our life’s!” Right? Absolutely Right my friends!
Well my fellow children of Christ, I will give you my answer, and hopefully it will make as much sense to you as it does to me! In my own personal opinion and belief, the reason we continually make mistakes in our life’s is because………………… it’s human nature to do so! We were designed in the image of God. Not in the perfection of God! Now, I’m sure you’ve heard this before, so I will try to explain my own personal perception of this conundrum, in as clear cut a way as I know how. In most ocassion’s when we make a mistake, it’s of a very, minor nature. Nothing so catastrophic that it would threaten Humanity as a whole. Or would cause the financial collapse of the worlds Stock Exchange overnight! Yes. I’m being a little melodramatic, but I’m trying to make you understand a very simple point of conclusion in this matter of why we all make mistakes from time to time.
Making mistakes in our life is simply a part of the growth process that starts from the time of our infancy, until the day of our timely, or untimely death. Simply put. Not one person on this planet that we call earth, will ever go through their entire life’s without making a mistake or two! If someone that you personally know, or that you’ve heard of, says they’ve never made a mistake either large or small. Well my good friends, that person is without a doubt, being totally untruthful, and he or she has just made a mistake by making such an obvious untruthful statement!
Mistakes are just part of an imperfect life, that each and everyone of us lead here on earth! I truthfully believe that we, as a part of human kind, will inevitably make mistakes every year that we are blessed to continue to live the life that the good Lord has given us! I further believe that mistakes are by far, one of the absolute best tools for teaching that we have been given, in order to better ourselves as men, women, children, teachers, politicians, construction workers, grocery clerks, and the list is, without sounding condenscending, absolutely endless!
For most of us, we try very hard to not make any mistakes, if we can help it. But inevitably we will, somewhere along the way. So, thats where the gift of knowledge and understanding, come into play. Once we all arrive at the understanding that everyone, regardless of who or what their particular nature may be in this life, can and will make mistakes. That is where the God-given gift of compassion, makes it’s presence known! Because, without the gift of understanding and compassion, a person’s simple misjudgement, or simple mistake in judgement, could in fact, become something out of control!
So, In conclusion of this article. It is my humble opinion, that every single person alive or even unborn at this moment in time, can and will make mistakes of some sort in their own life! It will be up to the rest of us, through the insight that God has given us, and the insight and understanding that we ourselves have learned through living in this world, as how to better help another person deal with the mistakes of their own making. Will they be burned at the stake? Or will they get the benefit of our own insight and compassion because of what we learned in our own life. The choice is your’s my friend. But just remember, we all make mistakes in our life, and that will never change!
