Role of Mass Media in Modern Society

The Role of Mass Media in Society

Want to know what to wear?  What medicines to consume?  What to eat?  What values to teach the children?  What ones neighbors are up to?  And, even how to think?

Then just turn on any television.

The mass media is an entity so dispersed and comprehensive that it has tremendous effects and power over the modern public—via the news, polls, popular trends, and even public opinion.  They all are driven and guided by this powerful entity.  Horrors, threats, and even modern medicine are carefully controlled by the reports; and, herd compliance and acceptance are usually the goals.  This is done by obvious and subliminal fear tactics.  If one does something wrong, they will be fined, or go to jail.  If one chooses not to inject their priceless children with toxic drugs and vaccines that have the potential to harm them, then they are labeled a poor, irresponsible parent.  If one thinks for oneself, then they are different; or, they are simply a radical. However, the truly depraved occurrences are not reported to the general public on a regular basis, for fear of the public not being able to handle the truth!  Lies are acceptable, however, when the end result is the desired outcome—controlled panicking.

Well, despite the hold that the modern media intentionally has on the modern public, it is strongly recommended that each one does in fact think for themself while it is still considered legal.  How heavily do people rely upon mass media?  Do they plan their day (and even their life) around it?   Do they stay in when they are told to stay in?  Do they shop when and where they are told to shop?  Do they run out and get a flu shot every time epidemic is yelled?  Do they blindly follow and put their trust in the mass media?  If so, it is not too late for them.  Turn off the television.  Turn off the radio.  Turn off the “smart” cell phone.  Turn off anything that streams propaganda continuously.  Don’t worry; humanity will not cease to exist.  The world will continue to revolve…just a lot slower.

This will give one time to think logically and simply about this issue without the direct influence of mass media.

Now, let’s examine this “mass media”.

How does it function?  It is fueled only by the millions who buy into the product of information.  Who? Why? What? Where? How much? How long? What should be feared?  What is safe?

In addition to the need for oblivious and attentive viewers (consumers), the mass media is propagated by funds from advertisers.  Very lucrative funds provided by very powerful and wealthy people.  Thus, this can hardly be considered un-biased.  Whoever pays the most gets their message heard the loudest and most often.  Much of it is political; and, a substantial portion of it is Big Pharma.  However, it is also junk foods, junk drinks, synthetics, charity, and political war machines.  What all of them have in common is not public common interests, but profit.  Does anyone honestly think otherwise?  They use emotional tactics along with fear tactics for one purpose—to get money/control.  Period.  Mass media has had much practice at this type of manipulation.  It knows just when and where to tug at the public’s heart, emotions; and, ultimately, pocket books.

Just think of that crying, starving child on television from some third world country.  One dollar a day from someone can feed that hungry, poor child.  The viewer is distracted by emotions, and totally oblivious to the fact that there is a full camera crew right there with that poor, hungry child.  Instead of exploiting them, they could feed them.  In fact, for the cost of traveling and seeking that child out to film (and, trust that child was sought out for maximum effectiveness), the crew and their entourage (and don’t forget the private jet that got them there) probably could have fed an entire village for more than a year.  Funny how they never show quaint, happy, thriving little villages like the ones seen when one travels the world—Oh, yes, people don’t travel the world because mass media claims it is unsafe and unsanitary.  They have accomplished keeping the herd rounded up and not straying; of course, so that they can keep them local (and their money with them) and tell them what to believe about the entire rest of the world!  For any rebels that chose to venture out on their own, doesn’t it seem that the places and people visited are quite unaware of their pitiful situations?  Perhaps if someone would only buy them a television they would be able to know just how bad off they are.

This manipulation goes even further.  Suppose that the leader of some super-power wants something another country has—like, for example, oil.  Well, that leader cannot simply go and take it.  That would be wrong.  So, how could he or she accomplish this task, theoretically, while maintaining political correctness?  Spin it.  They could arrange for a disaster or a catastrophe.  They could have an embassy attacked in that country—whether that is accomplished by locals or foreigners is really of no concern.  They could then have mass media report and film the aftermath of this incident simultaneously worldwide.  The first phase involves somber, shock, disbelief, and fear.  They report something like “Sources say that this attack may have been carried out by terrorists from such and such country”.  Once this is piped to the public long enough and often enough, then they come back with the next phase—reality—“Sources have confirmed that this attack was carried out by terrorists from this country.”  They then pipe this loud enough and long enough and it becomes reality.  Confirmation. “Truth”.

Next, the leader makes television/radio appearances.  He (or she) is “concerned” for the people, and “concerned” for his/her country.  What would the public have them do?

Finally, the final phase comes into play-Outrage, defense, public outcry.  Polls are taken.  Interviews are held.  The people demand action from their leader.  The people want revenge so that “those terrorists that sources confirmed” don’t get away with this!  They want assurance that the leader will respond and “protect” them from such things happening in the future.  They want WAR! War…War. Somebody must pay!

So, the leader leads them into war.  After the smoke clears, the bombs cease, and the blood stops flowing, the public has its revenge!  And, the leader has his oil.  The reporting of collateral damage is kept under a tight rein, and always blamed on the “infidels”, or “terrorists”.  The leader is held up in public approval because they did, after all, just what the public demanded that they do—with just a bit of encouragement.

Bear in mind that all of this began by calculated events-reactions to actions.  And this “peoples” war erupted because of one simple action—the allegations reported by mass media from “sources” (which are never revealed), and later “confirmed” by “sources” (which are never mentioned again).  Who or what are these “sources”?   They are constructed.  They are imaginary; but, they do exist.  They are tools of the media that the public blindly trusts simply because they say it is so, and broadcast it all over the world.  Was it Hitler that said, “If enough people tell a lie often enough it becomes accepted as truth”?

Even a partial lie is not truth at all; and, mass media has grown way too “trustworthy” without merit.  Think of it this way—Just because someone is arrogant, wears a white coat, and says, “Trust me, I’m a doctor”—does that mean that one should blindly let them inject poisons into their child’s body without a viable cause?  NO, one needs to look at their credentials, their valid documents, their reputation—but, most of all, one needs to look into their eyes (the window of the soul) and trust their God-given conscience.   Furthermore, it’s not a bad idea to look very closely at that little gold idol on their lapel with the symbol for the medical god, and the two snakes entwined around a staff.  It is pretty common knowledge that ancient “doctors” were broadly referred to as “snake-oil salesmen”-peddlers of pills, potions, and lotions.  They still are to this day—they have just used all of that money from the sales of those potions to come in off the streets by investing in extravagantly luxurious suites and hospitals to operate out of.  Sickness, death and disease remain their money focused business agenda, regardless of the package in which they so cleverly wrap it up.

Likewise, on the same note, just because someone has a website, or dresses nicely and is on the five o’clock news does not mean that people should automatically accept, believe, and react to what they have to “report”.  The scripture says test all things and hold fast to those which are good, dismissing those which are not.  Mass media is capable of a few good things; however, the public should not ever be fooled into completely letting its guard down without testing the information for itself.

The public should not simply accept poisonous information to drink without first looking at it, smelling it, and even tasting it, perhaps.   If mass media swears up and down there is no chance of rain, ultimately it is best if one simply looks out the window; or, better yet, just walks outside to see for themselves if it is true or false.
